A SPECULATIVE CONCLUSION

(Return to Table of Contents)

The Occurrence of the Parousia

September 70 A.D. In this seventh month of the Jewish calendar, Tishri, the final holy Festival of Trumpets (1st day of the month), the final holy Day of Atonement (10th day of the month), and the final holy Festival of Tabernacles (15th–21st days of the month, marking the final harvest of the year) passed uncelebrated by a totally contaminated people. On the 26th day, the sacred city Jerusalem and the sacred Temple were destroyed in a great conflagration of fiery flames. On that momentous day, the Mosaic Eon, the Sinatic/Mosaic world-order, and the Levitical Priesthood (representing the worship and service of Yahweh Elohim of Israel) all were terminated. There had been no triumphant blare of the trumpets on the 1st day of the month. There had been no Chief Priest entering the Holy of Holies on behalf of the sins of the nation on the 10th day of the month. There had been no harvest during days 15–21. But on the 26th day, Yahweh, having harvested His wheat (the Ecclesia of Christ), gathered the tares (Apostate Israel) and destroyed them with fire as prophesied by Jesus (Matt. 13:36-43).

On that day, terrestrial Israel was no longer the covenanted nation of Yahweh. On that day, Israel became numbered with the nations, no longer possessing a special status above the nations. She would never again enjoy the blessings of the Sinatic/Mosaic Covenant, the blessings of the terrestrial city of David, the blessings of the Temple presence of Yahweh, the blessings of the Levitical Priesthood. Her blessings, like the blessings of the nations, would come from Messiah Jesus together with His glorious Ecclesia, His Queenly Spiritual Complement, the Born-From-Above Israel of Yahweh ruling in the Celestial Realm. The Kingdom of God had come. The new eon of His rule over all the nations had arrived; consequently, no single nation had a special covenantal status over the others.

However, looking back, during the final Festival of Tabernacles (days 15–21 of the seventh month of the Jewish calendar), Yahweh began gathering His spiritual nation to Himself and Messiah Jesus. These Messianic Israelites, remaining faithful priestly-warriors to the consummation of the Parousia of their glorious Lord and Savior, had now been found worthy of the prize of the High Calling (Phil. 3:14). The time had come for the completion of their salvation, their resurrection, their transformation, and their entrance into the promised Celestial Allotment. Thus, during the final days of Yahweh’s judgment against Apostate Israel, He sent His celestial messengers (celestial beings), led by Messiah Jesus, to gather out of the terrestrial realm His faithful nation, His faithful people.

On the Day of Trumpets (the 1st day of Tishri), the metaphorical trumpet (voice) of Messiah Jesus, commanding as the authoritative voice of the Chief Messenger of Yahweh, had sounded, alerting His people to His Arrival. On the Day of Atonement (the 10th day of Tishri), Messiah Jesus as Chief Priest according to the order of Melchizedek made His way out of the metaphoric Holy of Holies of the heavenly Tabernacle to appear (having dealt successfully with sin and bringing salvation, Heb. 9:28) in the heavens of the heavenly New Jerusalem, the metaphoric heavens of the Sanctuary which is His people. On the first day of Tabernacles (the 15th day of Tishri), the dead in Christ (those who had fallen asleep [died] before Messiah Jesus’ Parousia/Arrival) had begun to rise out of the state of death, putting on the new celestial body in which they were transferred into the Celestial Transportation Cruisers atomically beaming them up through the night sky.

Simultaneously, those faithful priestly-warriors having remained alive to His Parousia/Arrival Day, having remained watchful due to their love of His Parousia, were transformed atomically, completing the process of resurrection-metamorphosis. In this new state, they also had been transferred atomically through the night sky into the awaiting Celestial Transportation Cruisers of Messiah Jesus’ celestial messengers. Their Lord had come as a thief in the night, just as He had foretold (Matt. 24:43-44; 1 Thess. 5:2). These two groups, having been gathered together in the sphere of the clouds (the Celestial Transportation Cruisers, 1 Thess. 4:17-18), the Ecclesia (called-out ones) of Messiah Jesus had been, together with Messiah Jesus, transported out of the terrestrial realm into the Celestial Realm of her promised Celestial Allotment.

The Remaining Messianics

Those Messianic brethren, however, who had not loved Messiah Jesus’ Parousia had been deemed unworthy of the prize of the High Calling. Failing to anxiously and eagerly watch for His Parousia, failing to maintain this expectation, they had become unprepared for His Parousia/Arrival Day. Like the five virgins not providing themselves enough oil to keep their torches burning through the night (Matt. 25:1-12), they had fallen asleep, attempting to avoid the suffering and persecution associated with the Gospel.

Concluding that the Parousia, being delayed for so long, would not come soon as proclaimed by Jesus and His Apostles, they had neglected the blessed expectation, failing to worship and serve Yahweh and Messiah Jesus according to the power of the counter-alteration. They had quenched the spirit (1 Thess. 5:19). They had not allowed the counter-alterating spirit dwelling within them to indwell them, to operate within them. Failing to appropriate the power of the counter-alterating spirit, thereby quenching it, they had been accounted unworthy of participating in the out-resurrection.

Thus, they had failed to attain to the Prize of the High Calling. They had been denied entrance into the promised Celestial Allotment. They had not “roused [themselves] out of sleep” (Rom. 13:11b CV) not “being aware of the era [season] (Rom. 13:11a CV). They had not remained faithfully expectant to the consummation of the then present eschatological conflict.

These Messianic brethren, neither turning away from Messiah Jesus in apostasy, nor remaining faithful to the consummation, had been left behind to initiate a new religion, Christianity. With the entrance of the Ecclesia of Jesus into the Celestial Allotment, the counter-alterating spirit had been withdrawn from the terrestrial realm. Metaphorically sleeping through the Parousia/Arrival Day of Messiah Jesus, these remaining Messianics were unaware of its occurrence. After September 26, 70 A.D. and the restoration of Roman dominion in the land of Palestine and throughout the territories of the Roman Empire under the rule of Vespasian, these remaining Messianics continued to preach the Gospel as though the Gospel had not completed its mission. They had misunderstood the teaching of the Apostles, especially the teaching of the Apostle Paul which had been “hard to apprehend” (2 Pe. 3:16 CV) and which teaching Peter had attributed “to the wisdom given him [Paul](2 Pe. 3:15 CV) by Yahweh.

The Jewish nation now having been covenantally destroyed and the people scattered, the Messianic communities began to understand themselves as the heirs of the covenantally destroyed nation of Israel. They perceived themselves as the new people of Yahweh, the new spiritual Israel. Believing themselves to be the people of the new covenant, they continued to proclaim the efficacy of the blood of this covenant. They had, in their ignorance of the truth of the Gospel, the truth of the New Covenant, and the truth of the Chief Priesthood of Messiah Jesus, continued to perceive their task as the preaching of the Gospel to all nations. The Parousia of Messiah Jesus, they believed, would occur when the Gospel had been proclaimed to all the peoples of all the nations.

Salvation became no longer national, but personal. In order to gain the attention of the idolatrous Greco-Roman social and religious mind-set, new doctrines began to be developed out of the Greco-Roman perception rather than the Hebrew perception. The Greek Scriptures began to be interpreted apart from the Hebrew Scriptures. The Hebrew context now being lost, the Messianic communities perceived themselves as the universal church of Christ. The task of this universal church was to save as many people as possible from the judgment of hell (a new concept resulting from a misunderstanding of the figurative language of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures and a misappropriation of Greek philosophy) by turning them away from idolatry and immortality to the salvation provided by the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

This ignorance, this misperception, resulting from the unawareness of the occurrence of the Parousia of Messiah Jesus, became the means through which Yahweh would accomplish the deterioration and eventual destruction of the ancient world of the gods: the world of idolatrous worship and service of false gods and the world of idolatrous immorality. These remaining Messianics would suffer much on behalf of this divine task. Having avoided the eschatological sufferings of Messiah Jesus, they would endure much suffering in the establishment of the new religion, Christianity, ordained by Yahweh on behalf of the nations now being delivered from the darkness of idolatry. Thus, these remaining Messianics became known as Christians. As Christians, they testified to the people of the Roman Empire concerning the One, True, Living God of all nations and peoples and the salvation to be obtained by belief in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, God’s Only-Begotten Son.

The Success of Christianity

The present world-order, the Technological Global Village, has been forged by just one religion, Christianity. The direction of Christian growth and influence was toward the West. This was no accident. The Shemites had led the nations to Jesus Christ. The Japhetites would lead the nations to racial adulthood and maturity under the headship of Jesus Christ.

The ebb and flow of western Christian growth and influence has shaped modern western civilization. The tide of Christianity first came in after 70 A.D. Those Messianics not participating in the Parousia exit of the Ecclesia of Messiah Jesus (as a result of eschatological somnia, therefore, unawareness of its occurrence) had concluded the Parousia had been delayed. From the perspective of these Messianic somniacs, the Roman world order was corrupt and evil. It would be destroyed by the future Parousia of Jesus Christ. Thus, there was an urgent need to proclaim the gospel of salvation to this doomed world.

This world was to be hated. It would be destroyed. The only hope of the nations, the peoples of this world, was the hope of the world to come. Idolatry and idolatrous immorality were proclaimed evils which must be escaped through repentance and baptism, a turning away from the false, idolatrous worship of the gods to the worship of the One, True, Living God and His Son Jesus Christ Who had died on behalf of the sins of the peoples of the world.

As the last tide of the Roman Empire receded into the flow of the sea, the times of the Gentiles (the nations), represented by the previous world empires (the Assyrian, the Babylonian, the Persian, the Greek empires, and finally, the Roman Empire), was coming to an end. The new tide coming in would initiate the collapse of the Roman Empire. This empire would be replaced by the Holy Roman Empire of Christianity. The new religion, perceiving the political, social, and economic institutions of the world as temporal, since they represented the world to be escaped, to be destroyed, treated these institutions as secular (profane). They were necessary evils which had to be closely scrutinized and restrained so as not to jeopardize the salvation of the peoples.

Christianity, perceiving itself, incorrectly, as The Church of Jesus Christ, at this time designated itself as the sacred institution responsible for the spiritual welfare of the world. Thus, Christianity perceived itself as a kingdom of priests mediating salvation to the peoples of the evil world which was doomed to destruction. As the sacred institution authorized by God and His Son Jesus Christ, Christianity instituted the first day of the week as the day to worship God. The seventh day, the sabbath of Judaism, was replaced as a result of the resurrection of Jesus Christ which was believed to have occurred on the first day of the week.

The change from the seventh to the first day of the week was the result of a misunderstanding of the Greek Scriptures. Ignoring the plural form of the Greek word referring to the first day of the Jewish Festival of Weeks (sabbaths) consummating in the Festival of Pentecost (the 50th day of a series of seven weeks), Christian authorities translated the Greek phrase “on the first day of the sabbaths [sabbaton, plural] (Lk. 24:1 my translation of the Greek text) as “the first day of the week.” Thus, these scholars established their own sacred day of worship as the first day of the week (Sunday), commemorating the day of Christ’s resurrection. Christ, however, had not been resurrected on the first day of the week, but on the first day of the Jewish Festival of the Sabbaths, beginning a series of seven sabbaths (weeks), 49 days consummating in the 50th day, the Day of Pentecost. The Hebrew context for understanding the Greek Scriptures was lost very early. This loss was in accord with Yahweh’s purpose for Christianity.

With the ebb tide of Medieval Christianity came the new tide of the Renaissance and the Reformation. Christianity had prized the value of the individual and the value of freedom. Christ had freed man from enslavement to the gods and from the ignorance prevailing in a mythopoeic perception of the natural world. The natural world was no longer perceived as the habitation of spirits needing appeasement in order to avoid their wrath. Christian scholars began to study the natural world free from the ancient, mythopoeic assumptions. Old perceptions and beliefs held by the Church began to be challenged. Economic institutions had begun to form new networks. These changes began to transform the political, social, economic, and educational institutions of western society, thus transforming the Church and western civilization. Western man was approaching the end of his adolescence. Secularization was increasing. The sacred was in the process of having to adapt to the new trends of secularization.

The ancient world-order of the gods had, since the establishment of the Holy Roman Empire, come to an end. There was only One, Living God Who is the Creator of all things. He was not to be equated with His created order. He had revealed Himself in His Son, a man, Jesus Christ. He was a personal being. Mankind now had access to Yahweh apart from the idolatrous worship and service of the gods. Mankind was in the process of being called to worship and serve his Creator, his Father-God. Men and woman (according to Christianity) were in the process of being called to the salvation which could deliver them from the coming judgment of this world.

However, with the ebb tide of the Renaissance and Reformation came the new tide of the Enlightenment and the Scientific Revolution. Some men within Christian society began to challenge the teachings of the Church. Some doctrines of the Church, upon rational investigation, had been found to be Christian myth and superstition, not much different from the sacred myth and superstition of the ancient world. These men encouraged others to think for themselves, to use their rational faculty to test that which claims to be truth.

Men of learning began studying more thoroughly and more objectively the natural world and discovered the laws behind its operations. The earth was no longer to be understood as the center of the cosmos. The traditional Western understanding of the Genesis account of creation began to be questioned. Man was no longer perceived as the center of God’s creation or purpose. The authority of the Church began to be doubted. Christianity as the one, true religion began to be attacked. Again, political, social, economic, and educational institutions were in a new state of transformation.

Christianity, though remaining very influential, was beginning to lose its hold on culture and society. Again, it was forced to adapt to these changes wherever possible or to defend itself against these changes when adaptation was perceived as a threat to its survival as an influential instrument of salvation in the hands of God. Ironically, it was Christianity itself which was unleashing these transformations. Ironically, it was Christianity’s success in the western world which was contributing to its demise. This, Christianity could not fathom. How could its success result in its dissolution?

Christianity managed to defend itself against the incoming tide of the Enlightenment and the Scientific Revolution, maintaining its hold on culture and society. But the ebb tide of these forces, which ebb tide had been perceived by Christianity as a retreat, returned in vengeance with the surge of the new incoming tide. This roaring tidal wave came smashing down upon the shore of western civilization, intensified in strength by two additional revolutions. The Industrial Revolution of the nineteenth century and the Technological Revolution of the twentieth century delivered an overwhelming blow to Christianity. Science and technology had been transforming the secular world. This world was no longer perceived as evil. It could and was being transformed so as to provide a much higher standard of living for a greater number of individuals than at any other time in the recorded history of humanity.

Medicinal research and technology were curing diseases, reducing pain and suffering, extending life expectancy, and increasing the quality of life. Agricultural research and technology were producing more food products, increasing the quantity and quality of food produced, and increasing access to and availability of these food products for a greater number of people. Construction engineering research and technology were producing more homes for more people, more efficient and comfortable homes, and more and better working facilities. Transportation and informational technologies were making the earth a global village. Distances were no longer separating peoples and nations. Travel time had been enormously reduced, and travel comfort had increased substantially. This world became a much more pleasant and comfortable world to live in. It no longer seemed as evil as Christianity had made it. Death was still a problem. But life had become more satisfying as a result of increased longevity and quality of health.

The secular world had seemed to swallow the sacred world. The Christian doctrine of hell had now become perceived as religious myth and superstition. The miracles of Jesus became perceived by many (not all) as mere legendary tales, the operation of the holy spirit as wishful thinking. Christianity’s proclamation of salvation for some and damnation for the greater majority seemed unjust and unwarranted, even contradictory to Christianity’s belief in a loving God.

For many, the Holy Scriptures contained in the Bible had lost their authority. The higher critics had exposed them as being no different than the sacred and secular writings of other cultures and individual writers of the present time. For many, atheism or agnosticism seemed more intelligible than belief in a God who would condemn the vast majority of human beings to a torturous eternity in hell, or a God who would allow or condone the terrible evils that affect innocent human beings.

Christianity had successfully delivered humanity from childhood and adolescence. It had opened the door through which adolescent man had been given access to the real, substantial world, freeing him from the myth and superstition of his illusory perception of the past, including the illusions produced by Christianity. Man had come of age. He had entered into adulthood, although only young adulthood. He still had much to learn. But the cost, from Christianity’s perspective, had been the abandonment of the God of Christianity and the salvation which its God had offered. For some Christians, this left only God’s judgment for the world. For other Christians, this meant the need to further adapt, to redefine, the faith so as to come into harmony with man’s adulthood.

But was the God of this Christianity and the traditions and commandments of the fathers of this Christianity the God of the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures? From the beginning, Christianity as a religion had been based upon a misconception. It had retained significant truth concerning the One, True, Living God and His resurrected and exalted Son, but this truth had been embellished to fit the needs of the developing Church within a corrupt and deteriorating Roman Empire. The pagan civilized peoples idolatrously worshiping the gods and the more barbaric uncivilized tribes of peoples descending upon European society necessitated cultural and religious adaptations capable of incorporating these pagan and barbaric peoples into the life and hope of the Church.

Doctrines, rituals, sacraments, holy days and festivals were created to meet the social, cultural, religious, and economic needs of these peoples. The customs, myths, and legends of these peoples were adopted to convey the Christian God and the Christian teachings, the Christian worldview. Need such a Christianity, then, survive after it had fulfilled its purpose? Had obsoleteness been built into it from its inception? After all, Christianity is a religion; it is not the Church of Christ.

(Return to Table of Contents)

Coming of Age

Christianity is responsible for man’s coming of age. However, what does coming of age signify? If Christianity was intended to achieve man’s coming of age, then, having reached its goal, it could very well become obsolete. Like Israel according to the flesh, Christianity as a religion had from its inception been flawed. The Israel of Yahweh, the Ecclesia of Messiah Jesus had been redeemed from the worship and service according to the elements of the world-order of the Sinatic/Mosaic Covenant with its Levitical Priesthood and Temple cult. At the consummation of the Parousia, the Born-From-Above Israel had been perfected. She would no longer retain any remnants of worship and service according to the elements of the world-order. She had come of age. She had obtained the maturity of Jesus the Messiah. She had obtained the prize of the High Calling. She had obtained the state of the Celestial Man. Attaining spiritual maturity, the Born-From-Above Israel of Yahweh no longer worshiped and served Yahweh according to shadows.

Christianity as a flawed and temporal religion worships and serves God according to the elements of the world-order. Christianity worships God through a priesthood mediating worship through the elements of the world-order, such as altars, baptisms, rituals, ceremonies, holy days, festivals, and sacraments. As Israel according to the flesh reached her divine destiny, she became obsolete, taking her place among the other nations. She was no longer a covenanted nation. She no longer possessed a special covenantal relationship to Yahweh. She had become like the other nations, no better, no worse. So also, when Christianity as a religion fulfills its divine purpose, it becomes obsolete, joining all the other obsolete religions. For, coming of age signifies, among other things, the obsoleteness of religion.

Religion, therefore, is worship and service of God (or the gods) through the use of the elements of the world-order (earth, water, air, fire: altars, baptisms, sacrifices, rituals, ceremonies, holy days, festivals, sacraments, priestly attire, etc.). Such worship and service are through shadows pointing to the higher spiritual substance. As Jesuic humanity approaches the maturity of his coming of age, he initiates the process whereby religion is transcended. He approaches a state of consciousness whereby worship and service of God are liberated from the use of the elements of the world-order.

This state of consciousness when perfected, when attaining full maturity, transcends the material world-order. Instead of being under the elements of the world-order, Jesuic humanity controls the elements of the natural world-order through his more sophisticated spiritual mind. He is not loosed from the material world-order; he creatively directs and orders the material world-order.

Jesus demonstrated this capacity when He walked on water; when He calmed the storm; when He fed the multitudes with a few loaves of bread and with a few fish; when He healed the sick, the crippled, the blind, the deaf; when He raised the dead to life. He was not performing miracles. He was creatively controlling, manipulating, ordering, directing, organizing the material world-order through the application, the appropriation, of the laws of physics as understood by His spiritual mind. Jesus had the capacity to rearrange atoms so as to carry out His will. He had the ability to manipulate and direct each human gene in accord with its encoded program.

Jesus’ superior, spiritually mental capacity enabled Him to control the physical forces of nature by which He healed the sick, the crippled, the blind, and the deaf. He is the Only-Begotten (Only-Generated-Sired) Son of God. He is the Archetypical Image and Likeness of God. All soulish Adamic mankind (now designated Jesuic humanity since coming under the headship of Jesus Christ) created in the Image and Likeness of God will be elevated to the Archetypical Image and Likeness of Jesus Christ as the superior Celestial Man, the Spiritual Man exalted above all celestial beings (misappropriately referred to as angels).

Ironically, as a result of mankind’s present advanced knowledge and technological capacity, the virgin birth of Jesus, as well as some of His miracles, can easily be explained in scientific terms. Mankind has already duplicated the process of allowing a virgin birth. Artificial insemination has been practiced by mankind for years. Those intellectuals who have found it necessary to reject the miracles recorded in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures in the name and cause of scientific procedure and knowledge are now finding themselves in an awkward position. For this very scientific procedure has exposed the smallness of their minds.

Nanotechnology, still in its early development, is already on its way to providing mankind with the future ability to produce food products merely by manipulating the atomic structure of dirt. Is nanotechnology also going to reveal the smallness of some human minds by duplicating the miracle of Jesus whereby He fed a multitude with a mere five loaves of bread? Could Jesus have had a more complete knowledge of the principles now being discovered and applied by nanotechnologists? Even more pertinent, has the exalted head of Jesuic humanity been honoring the sincere human pursuit of truth (by those few men and women willing to pay the price of such pursuit) by granting humans the insights necessary to discover the truths of the physical laws of the cosmos which they so honorably seek in their dedicated, disciplined, courageous, perseverant pursuit of truth? There ARE absolute, objective truths. Without such truths scientific investigation and knowledge would be both impossible and absurd. Even quantum physics will eventually demonstrate this.

(Return to Table of Contents)

The Obsoleteness of Christianity

Christianity as a religion has already become obsolete (along with all other religions). However, the knowledge revealed in the Hebrew and Greek Scriptures concerning God, His Only-Begotten Son Jesus Christ, and Jesuic humanity’s future destiny shall only be proven true by the advancement of Jesuic humanity’s pursuit of truth in all honest and sincere scientific investigation. Such continued pursuit of truth, however, will require the transcending of all world religions, including Christianity. The transcendence of religion will not leave Jesuic humanity void of spirituality. Spiritual consciousness can only be obtained as men and women transcend their religious beliefs and practices which belong to man’s infancy, childhood, adolescence, and early adulthood.

The obsoleteness of Christianity (and all religions) will result in Jesuic humanity’s true knowledge of his relationship to God and Jesus Christ. The biblical knowledge and understanding lost at the inception of the Christian religion is now about to be restored to Jesuic humanity. Jesuic humanity is organically and spiritually one. Man has been created in the Image and Likeness of the One, True, Living, Creator-God. He was first created as a soulish being (Adamic humanity). He became a soulish/soilish being with the entrance of death. He has (since the ascendancy of Jesus Christ to headship over humanity) been in the process of becoming a spiritual/celestial being.

As a result of the ministry, kingship, and headship of Jesus Christ, all Jesuic men and women will eventually attain to the mature state of Celestial Man. There is no hell and there are no men and women excluded from the salvation of God accomplished through Jesus Christ. All men and women are destined to put off the old, soulish man and put on the new, superior Celestial Man. No man or woman is to remain in the grave. Death has been conquered. Death is no longer the last word of God concerning Jesuic men and women. The last word of God concerning Jesuic men and women is Life: justification of immortal life.

(Return to Table of Contents)

The Stop-Gap God and The Stop-Gap Savior

The stop-gap God, the stop-gap Savior, and the stop-gap religion (stop-gap referring to religious, mythical, superstitious, and philosophical explanations for questions beyond man’s understanding) no longer are necessary. Their usefulness as crutches during man’s convalescence from the injuries received during his journey through the darkness of the ancient world of the gods is over. Jesuic Man must now stand on his own two feet taking the responsibility for his world under the acknowledged rule, wisdom, and guidance of Jesus Christ. He must honor his God and Savior by using his strength, his knowledge, his technological prowess to creatively control and order his world for the welfare of the human brotherhood. He is to perform this creative and noble behavior as God’s son.

Being in the Image and Likeness of God as a soulish being, Jesuic humanity is to go on to attain the spiritual perfection of the Image and Likeness of God represented by Jesus Christ the Archetypical Celestial Man. Jesuic men are destined to become gods (subjectors, creators) exploring and creatively interacting with God’s creative order and disorder as sons in the Cosmic House of God. Jesuic humanity has been redeemed in order to become a race of gods creatively appropriating Good and Evil to continue the construction of God’s malleable cosmos in accord with truth, the absolute and relative laws of God’s Creation.

The stop-gap God and stop-gap Savior proclaimed and created by the stop-gap Christian religion have been continually pushed back so far on the continually expanding circumference of Jesuic man’s knowledge as to make them obsolete. This god and this savior, the illusory projections of Christianity as a soulish religion crafted by the hands of soulish man, are dead. They are no longer helpful or believable. With their demise, Jesuic humanity is being ushered into the presence of the One, True, Living God of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Moses, David, and Jesus; the God not made, not crafted by human hands, but the God Who created and continues to create man and the cosmos by the Word proceeding out of His mouth. This One, True, Living God is not abstract, but concrete. He is both physical and spiritual. We humans have been created in His Image and Likeness. This is no accident. The physical spacial-dimension (finiteness) of man together with his spiritual dimension (infiniteness) are a reflection of the literal Image and Likeness of God (Yahweh Elohim).

(Return to Table of Contents)

The Phenomenon of Unbelief

The very fact of Jesuic man’s continually expanding knowledge, however, has given many intelligent men and women cause to disbelieve in any God and even to deny the existence of absolute truth. As absurd as it may seem, many of these men and women continue, in spite of their denial of absolute truth, to pursue knowledge and appropriate such knowledge in the affairs of human society. These modern Cainites acknowledge no hope in an afterlife. Nevertheless, they live as though this temporal life has meaning. They contribute to the welfare of humanity and even act occasionally altruistically. They maintain a high standard of honor and morality. Yet, they persist in their denial of a Creator-God and absolute truth.

Are they therefore enemies of God and Jesuic man? Are they resisting the will and purpose of God for Jesuic humanity? Are they obstacles hindering the progressive advancement of Jesuic humanity? These questions could be asked of all the religions of present men and women, each religion being based upon limited and erroneous knowledge and belief. Has man’s past history been an obstacle hindering the purpose of God for mankind? Do man’s belief systems frustrate the purpose of God?

The answer to all these questions is “No.” This is illustrated in Isaac Asimov’s (1950) short story entitled “Reason” from his book I ROBOT. Two astronauts from Earth are in charge of a space station beaming energy from the sun to a group of planets now colonized by human beings. The station has utilized robots to operate the technical instruments controlling the central converter which beams the sun’s energy to the planets. A week earlier, a new, more advanced robot had been shipped to the space station and assembled by the two men managing the station. The new robot is designated QT1.

The story opens with Gregory Powell informing the new robot, referred to as Cutie, that Powell and his companion, Donovan, had assembled Cutie one week ago. The new, advanced robot questions this assertion. The robot has been programmed to think logically. Reason is the standard by which Cutie is to determine truth. This robot, unlike the previous inferior robots, is the first to exhibit a curiosity as to his own existence. Cutie determines to evaluate the assertion of Powell. He informs Powell that he accepts nothing on the basis of authority.

Cutie begins his reasoning by assuming that because he thinks, he exists. Reason, thus, must be utilized to determine whether Powell’s assertion is true or false. Cutie reasons that since Powell and Donovan are constructed of inferior quality and strength, he is superior to them. They need food to sustain themselves and sleep to refresh themselves; it needs neither. Hence, Qt1 concludes that since no being can create another being superior to itself, and that he is clearly superior to Powell and Donovan, these inferior creatures cannot have created him.

The two men attempt to convince Cutie that they have assembled him by assembling another, but inferior, robot in front of his own eyes. But Cutie rejects this proof, declaring that the men have only assembled the parts. They had not created the parts. Asked, then, who did make the parts, Cutie answers, the Master, referring to the central converter. Believing this to be the truth, Cutie no longer considers the two men his superiors. Hence, he usurps command of the space station. He then proclaims the truth to the other robots who acclaim him as the Prophet of the Master. From their point of view, the two men have become obsolete servants of the Master. These men cannot represent the truth. Denying what they now perceive as the illusion of Powell and Donovan, the robots accept as reality only the worldview conceived by the Prophet of the Master.

The two men, no longer having command of the space station, fear for their lives. The robots now are perceived as a threat to the welfare and survival of the peoples inhabiting the planets receiving the energy beams from the converter. However, an electronic storm threatening the beam of the converter is successfully countered by the robots, proving the robots, under the management of Cutie, are perfectly capable of managing the space station without the supervision of men.

In spite of their erroneous view of the world, in spite of their denial that men have created them, they are performing exactly as they had been designed to perform. Cutie had been designed to eliminate the need of human supervision of the space station. His denial of his actual creator (god) and the purpose of this creator do not alter his contribution to the intended purpose of his unacknowledged creator. Though he denies his creator, his creator does not deny him.

Hence, the sincere and intelligent atheists and agnostics (modern redeemed Cainites) who deny The One, True, Living God and His Savior Son Jesus Christ do not alter the purpose of God for either themselves or the rest of Jesuic humanity. They may cling to an erroneous worldview. They may ridicule the worldview of those believing in the objective reality of God, Jesus Christ, and absolute truth. But they cannot escape either the world they live in or the designed lives which they have neither chosen nor created themselves. They cannot escape the effect of the existing laws which operate, whether they believe in them or not. These modern redeemed Cainites can only contribute to the advancement of Jesuic humanity’s predestined future.

Mankind’s Present Need and Responsibility:
Transcending Religion

Much evil remains in Jesuic humanity’s terrestrial world. The latter part of the twentieth century has accelerated humanity’s technological and biological knowledge and achievement. Yet, Jesuic humanity in his young adulthood has not yet accomplished world peace, has not eliminated poverty and hatred. He has not yet lifted all individual men and women out of the mire of ignorance, immorality, indolence, irresponsibility, and greed. Honor and integrity characterize only a small minority of human beings. Although Jesuic humanity has come a long way, he has yet a considerable distance to go in order to reach the perfection of mature adulthood. His consciousness has yet to transcend the division, the pseudo-arrogance, the irrational and naïve confidence, the hypocritical knowledge masking his debilitating ignorance (characteristic of all religion) which is concealing a hatred disguised as love of god and/or man.

In the twenty-first century, Jesuic humanity must transcend all religion, including Christianity. All religion has become obsolete. Religion belongs to the infancy, childhood, and adolescence of humanity. Mankind has been in the process of shedding this obsolete skin since the sixteenth century. The members of the genuine intelligentsia of Jesuic humanity have progressively been exhorting men and women to rise above the ignorance, fear, and hatred of religious worldviews capable only of continuing the imprisonment of men and women in the retarded states of mankind’s infancy, childhood, and adolescence. These religious worldviews impede the responsible independence of men and women striving to reach their potential as men and women in the Image and Likeness of the One, True, Living God of humanity as expressed in Jesus Christ, the Celestial Man Who is leading humanity into the perfection of mature adulthood.

Jesuic humanity needs to know and acknowledge the fact that there is only One, True, Living God Who is the God of all men and women. This God has redeemed all men and women. This God has secured for all men and women the immortality of Celestial Mankind, the perfect, mature state of all human beings. There is only one human kingdom and only one human family, the Kingdom of God and the family of God. No man or woman is excluded from this kingdom and family. No man or woman is excluded from the necessity of pursuing and ultimately achieving his or her perfection, as well as contributing to the perfection of his or her fellow family members.

Consequently, twenty-first century Jesuic men and women are not to worship and serve God (the Creator God, Yahweh Elohim) as children, but as adult sons. Jesuic humanity’s Creator-God has given him this planet to inhabit and develop. Jesuic humanity is to embrace this planetary habitation and accomplish the successful development of his Creator God-given potential. This means globally abandoning religion, myth, superstition, and ideology transcending the immature and inferior consciousness of Jesuic humanity’s adolescence. Jesuic men and women must rise above the debilitating infirmness of indolence, irresponsibility, injustice, and greed. Each man and woman should responsibly and honorably choose to develop his or her God-given potential to the maximum, committed to contributing to the general welfare of humanity and the specific development of each person’s God-given potential in order to achieve the divine telos, the predetermined goal/destiny of Jesuic humanity as designed by Jesuic humanity’s Creator-God. Consequently, each is his brother’s keeper.

Therefore, each Jesuic man and woman should strive for his or her condition of strength. Each should seek to eliminate the weakness of his or her neighbor by contributing, whenever and wherever possible, to the strengthening of that neighbor. No one should exploit the weakness of others in order to gain a personal advantage at the other’s expense. All men and women should be encouraged by society and society’s members to rise above their weaknesses with the assistance of those who have achieved their own strengthening.

Corporately, the virtues, such as honor, integrity, courage, duty, compassion, mercy, justice, and love (all relating to the divine principle “I am my brother’s keeper”) should be valued and expected from all men and women. The strong should not allow the resentment or covetousness of the weak to despise their strength or shame them into denying their strength. The weak, on the other hand, should not in ignorance or greed and with their own consent allow the strong to exploit them.

Men and women must be encouraged to develop a higher degree of intelligence with the assistance of those having already achieved such superior intellectual acumen. No longer must men and women in weakness seek through prayers or sacrifices the appeasement of their own self-created stop-gap gods in order to attain from these gods that which they had been given the ability by the One, True, Living Creator-God to achieve for themselves. Jesuic men and women are not to perceive themselves as weak, but as strong. They are in the image of the One, True, Living Creator-God. They are to be conforming themselves to Jesus Christ, the Superman in Whose image they now have the ability to conform themselves.

Such superior development is now possible because Jesus Christ the Only-Begotten Son of God has attained for all men and women the potentiality of reaching the perfection of mature adulthood. He is the present head of Jesuic humanity. His inspiring intervention in the historical progress of men and women is the cause behind all the life-enhancing knowledge attained by human beings. All men and women must be courageously seeking out truth. Finding that truth as a result of faithful pursuance necessitates appropriating it in one’s life, as well as gratuitously sharing it with all others.

Man’s Cosmic Future

Jesus Christ the resurrected, ascended, exalted, and glorified Son of God is the Archetypical Celestial Man. All men and women attaining to the perfection of mature adulthood are conformed to His attained Celestial Image and Likeness. His reality is the future reality of all men and women. No man or woman is lost or condemned to an eternal hell. God is the God of the Living, not the dead. Because He loves all soulish men and women created in His Image and Likeness, He has guaranteed their eventual metamorphosis from His soulish image and likeness (Adam) to His Celestial Image and Likeness (Jesus Christ).

Hence, all human beings are brothers and are their brother’s keeper. Each of us is responsible for the welfare of his associate. All higher human beings seek the spiritual, intellectual, social, political, and economic edification of all other human beings. The goal is the spiritual, intellectual, and moral edification of every man and woman to the pre-designed destiny of each and every human being as exemplified in Jesus Christ, God’s predesignated Archetype. This goal will be achieved. Man’s destiny is not failure, but success. Mankind’s future is to become Godlike. Attaining to the perfection of His Celestial Image and Likeness, Jesus Christ the Archetype, Jesuic humanity as a race is to explore and creatively appropriate (together with the celestial created messengers, so-called angelic beings) the laws of the One, True, Living Creator-God throughout His Cosmic Creation as Jesuic men and women continually increase their understanding of God’s cosmic truths and purposes.

A Final Word of Encouragement

Every human life is contributing to God’s purpose for humanity. Even the cancerous human beings attempting, willingly or unwillingly, to devour the health and welfare of humanity are participating in the process of Jesuic humanity’s progression toward his destiny. The healthy and strong (spiritually and physically) members of terrestrial human society (both Cainites and Abelites) are responsible to constrain and even destroy those cancerous members who can only be appropriately treated, healed by their Maker.

Though ultimate truth remains enigmatic, belief and pursuit of this Truth is a noble and honorable endeavor falling upon the shoulders of the courageous few who are willing to endure, on behalf of themselves and their brothers, the pain and suffering encountered while journeying upon the rugged path of Truth. The day is yet coming in which all members of the Jesuic human family will courageously journey upon the rugged and dangerous path of Truth. Together with Jesus Christ, we must all with sincere conviction advocate, I am my brother’s keeper. Hence forward, “I eat in order that I should be doing the will of God . . . and should be perfecting His work” (Jn. 4:34 my translation).
